The retreat is at the Trinity Center in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina. (You may also see Salter Path—same place!). Trinity Center is located adjacent to the beach on Emerald Isle.

The nearest major airport is Raleigh-Durham (RDU), which is approximately 3 hours away.

If you are flying and want to explore options to ride-share, please contact your retreat leaders.

Participants should arrive by 4pm on Friday, September 25th.

Departure is no later than 10am on Tuesday, September 29th.

Please alert your retreat leaders to any dietary restrictions at least 2 weeks in advance. There is a small fridge in each room.

Meals are included, starting with dinner Friday night through breakfast Tuesday morning. Participants will be given a box lunch upon departure.

If your flight plans change, you can cancel by July 15, 2026 for a full refund minus $100 processing fee.

After July 15, 2026, cancellations will be refunded at 50%.

After August 1, 2026, no refunds will be available.

You should absolutely bring:

• a printed copy of your work in progress, hole punched and in a 3 ring binder. We recommend you print double-spaced and single-sided if you have room for it—this maximizes your editing possibilities.

• a bathing suit if you would like to swim

We will provide:

• a gift bag with useful writing tools as well as mini delights

• snacks and soft drinks

• sunscreen and bug spray

The weather may be anywhere from HOT to chilly. Layers are always advisable, including a light jacket if you foresee an evening walk on the beach.
